The BIOACTION consortium recently gathered in Novara, Italy, for a productive meeting to discuss the project’s progress and next steps. The meeting was hosted by the Centro di Ricerca Traslazionale sulle Malattie Autoimmuni e Allergiche (CAAD)—a new center supported by the European Union.
Lia Rimondini from the Università del Piemonte Orientale (UPO) welcomed the group and introduced the facilities at CAAD, which houses advanced instruments and resources, including the UPO biobank. These resources will play an important role in supporting the research and development within the project.
Before starting with the nitty-gritty of each work package, our coordinator, Luigi Ambrosio, welcomed new members to our team. Chiara Cinquini and Sandy Anania are joining from the University of Liège and Giulia Pelos is joining from INsociety. They are now contributing to our knowledge and expertise pool.
Throughout the meeting, partners shared their latest updates and discussed how to move forward to reach the project’s goals. The gathering was a valuable opportunity to align strategies and ensure that the project stays on track.
Looking ahead, we are focused on several upcoming events, where we plan to disseminate our expected results and engage with the wider scientific and medical communities.
